Meet Ellise

When I first experienced Lomi Lomi, something deep in me recognised it immediately. It wasn't simply the flowing massage techniques that called to me - it was the spirit of aloha, the depth of presence, and the feeling of being held with such love that my whole body could soften.

Since then, Lomi Lomi has become far more than a massage practice for me, it has become a way of living and relating.

Over the years I have had the joy of learning two lineages of Lomi Lomi - Temple Style and Heartworks, including travelling to Hawaiʻi to learn from a Native Hawaiian teacher and deepen my understanding of the cultural roots and philosophy behind this beautiful tradition.

I never imagined I would become a teacher, but for the past two years I have been invited to assist two of my teachers in practitioner trainings, an experience that has allowed me to support many students as they begin their own journeys. Their encouragement and trust have led me to begin sharing this work here in the UK, where I believe there is a deep longing for the kind of loving, restorative touch and community that Lomi offers.

Alongside Lomi Lomi, I am a movement & yoga teacher and somatic movement therapist, and these threads naturally weave through everything I offer. My work is rooted in the understanding that the body is not something to be fixed, but listened to. Breath, movement and nervous system awareness are just as important as technique, allowing both practitioner and receiver to soften into a place where healing can unfold naturally.

For those receiving one-to-one treatments, I love to offer longer ceremonial sessions of two hours or more to really experience it. These are not simply massages, but immersive ceremonial sessions that invite you to step out of the pace of everyday life and into a slower rhythm of breath, ritual and presence. Through flowing bodywork, music, intention, prayer and the spirit of aloha, each session becomes a sanctuary - these are incredible for supporting people through life's tender thresholds - including grief, motherhood and major life changes.

Whether you come to receive a treatment, to learn the art of Temple Style Lomi Lomi or join our yearly Ohana - Lomi practitioner community gathering, my hope is that you leave not only with new skills or a relaxed body, but with a deeper relationship to yourself, to touch, and to the healing power of loving presence.
